Homemade face masks to get rid of eye bags

Eyeshadow tips will list out the different methods of application but very seldom do you find some tips that can help you get rid of eye bags. Eye bags ruin the overall effects of even best applied eyeshadows. Eye bags occur due to the retention of fluid under the eyes. This can be caused by various reasons. Tension, extra fluid intake and lack of sleep are some of the reasons. If you are a chronic eye bag sufferer, please consult your doctor but if you have woken up to find new bags under your eye, the following homemade face packs can help you alleviate them.

It is well known that cucumbers are naturally good for face packs. Homemade face masks of cucumber are good for the eyes too. Peel the cucumbers and slice them thin. Keep the slices in the fridge for a couple of hours. Before placing them over your eyes, make sure to add a few drops of olive oil to them. When the cucumbers are placed on the eyes, it must be made sure that the entire area is covered, not just the eye bags. Keep the slices on the eyes for 10 minutes and take them off. You can repeat this two more times and it should do the trick.

Homemade face masks, made out of a mixture of turmeric powder, cucumber juice and potato juice are also a very effective remedy. This mixture has been quoted in many eyeshadow tips forums and it really is very effective. Turmeric by nature is a revitalizer. When added with potato and cucumber, it also helps in draining all the residual fluids under the eyes. However, care must be exercised to ensure this does not get into the eyes. It might cause irritation and mild discomfiture. This mixture can be applied for 10 minutes for at least a week to get better results.

The last but the most famous of all homemade face packs is the ice cube method. Take a few cubes of ice, dip them in tomato juice and place them directly over closed eyes. This is a effective method and gives almost instantaneous results. However, the results are not long lasting. It is ok if you do this for a sudden case of eye bags. But, if you have a history of fluid retention under the eyes, the other two methods will give longer lasting benefits.
